SALES AND RESERVATION POLICY
Thanks for your interest in purchasing a goat from Rainshadow Acres! Below is our sales and reservation policy.
For biosecurity reasons, I will not take a goat back after it has left my farm. Kids will leave our farm in good health. However, I make no guarantees or warranties about the health of an animal once it has left. If you decide not to keep a goat that you've purchased from Rainshadow Acres, I would be happy to assist you in finding it another home.
We do not accept reservations on unborn kids. We would, however, be happy to add you to our kid notification list and contact you when kids are born. We reserve the right to retain any kid in our herd, regardless of whether or not there is a waiting list for that particular breeding. If your desired kid is available, a $100.00 ($50 for wethers) deposit is due within 7 days of kidding and balance due must be paid in full by 6 weeks of age. If balance is not paid in full by 6 weeks of age, or if you simply change your mind about buying the goat, you will forfeit your deposit, and the kid will be offered for sale to another home. If the kid becomes unavailable, your deposit can be refunded or transferred to another kid reservation.
Kids will be available for pick up at 8 weeks of age if waiting until kid is weaned. If you need a kid to stay beyond 8 weeks of age a $1.00 per day charge will apply (arrangements must be made in advance). We guarantee kids will be healthy when they leave our farm. Once they have left our farm we make no guarantees or warranties. We also make no warranties on how a goat or a mammary system will develop, though we do our best to place only quality animals. All kids will be disbudded, up to date on vaccines, worming, and hooves trimmed when they leave for their new homes.
We do our best to assure that all our goats go to great homes. We reserve the right to refuse sale of an animal at any time if we have concerns about the sale. Likewise, if you have any questions or concerns at any time during the purchase of one of our animals, please contact us.
Shipping: Kids can be shipped by airline out of Sea-Tac International Airport. All costs (health certificate, crate, and transport to the airport) are the buyer's responsibility.
